Part-time Assistant Pastor of Youth

All contract matters come under the policies set forth in the 2016 Wesleyan Church Discipline

Job Description: Assistant pastor to provide leadership and support to the area of Youth Ministry at Spencerport Wesleyan Church. 

Youth

  • Design and schedule regular youth meetings and events
  • Develop opportunities for additional connections with youth and their families
  • Organize and participate in activities with other area youth groups
  • Promote and participate in local, district, and national youth events
  • Recruit volunteers to serve as chaperones for events and study leaders as needed
  • Administer Youth Budget

Accountability: Senior Pastor and LBA 

Hours: Flexible to meet requirements of position, but the expectation is for 15-20 hours per week. 

Salary: Starting annual salary is $10,000

Reports:

  • Monthly written reports to the LBA (includes average attendance at youth gatherings, number of contacts/visits, progress toward stated ministry goals.) 
  • Annual reports for Church Conference’

Communications:

  • Responsible for all information related to each area of ministry to be shared appropriately in weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter. 

Meetings:

  • Weekly with senior pastor
  • Weekly with administrative assistant
  • Weekly with youth group 

Job evaluation: The position will be reviewed by the LBA and Senior Pastor after 6 months and at the one year mark. 

Renewal of the call to serve: The position will be considered for renewal during the month of March. Any change would occur at the close of the CNY District Conference.

Part-Time Worship Leader at Spencerport Wesleyan Church

All contract matters come under the policies set forth in the 2016 Wesleyan Church Discipline

Job Description:  Assistant pastor to provide leadership and support to the ministry of Worship at Spencerport Wesleyan Church. 

Worship

  • Design weekly worship services in an integrated manner with excellence and attention to balance of music styles, Christian calendar, special events, sacraments, etc. (Working with the Senior Pastor)
  • Chair Worship Committee meetings, and develop/distribute schedule of support. 
  • Recruit and train participants to serve on worship teams and/or sound and powerpoint technicians. 
  • Provide leadership and training to Worship Teams
  • Administer Worship budget

Accountability: Senior Pastor and LBA 

Hours: Flexible to meet requirements of position, but the expectation is 10 hours per week.

Salary: Starting annual salary will be $6,000 

Reports:

  • Monthly written reports to the LBA.
  • Annual reports for Church Conference

Communications:

  • Quarterly with worship committee (chair)
