Ezekiel: a 12-week study (knowing the bible)

The Book of Ezekiel proclaims God's uncompromising judgment against his rebellious people - but also his promise of restoration if they repent. Exposing the depth of Israel's disobedience, the prophet Ezekiel calls the nation to find forgiveness by turning away from their sin and back to God. The Knowing the Bible Series is edited by theologian J. I. Packer, and includes contributions from an array of influential pastors and church leaders. Perfect for both small groups and individuals, these gospel-centered studies will help you see and cherish the message of God’s grace on each and every page of the Bible.

Unshakable hope: Building our lives on the promises of God

In a world saturated with information, amusement and recreation, people are starving for hope! Lucado helps you overcome difficult circumstances, gain inner peace, build resolve, and envision a better future as he explores 12 biblical promises and reassures you that “Your Prayers Have Power,” “Joy Is Soon Coming,” “Justice Will Prevail,” and more.

Wesleyan Quarterly: ezra through esther

This quarter we will be studying the Bible stories from the lives of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. They are people like us, following God through a world that often lies in direct opposition of anyone following Him. It’s not enough that they won’t follow the one who is sovereign; they even will work very hard to prevent anyone else from following God. Often that’s because they not only want to be gods over their own lives, but they would have us believe they are gods over ours as well. But the wonderful irony in the lives of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther; is promised for ours as well. When we submit and follow—when we forfeit any claims to sovereignty—God’s power becomes greatest in our lives. When difficulties and threats stalked them, they found that their weakness was the ideal setting for God’s strength to reign.
